Save money, energy, and the environment. It is important and essential to own one of the Rinnai solar hot water systems at home. Residing in Australia makes sense to utilise the clean, inexhaustible and free supply of energy from the sun.
Rinnai have developed a range of highly efficient solar hot water systems to help reduce your carbon footprint whilst enjoying savings on the cost of heating your water.
The solar hot water units are actually very simple with roof mounted collectors absorbing the suns energy which heats the water. The hot water is transferred to a dedicated storage tank ready for use.
To ensure there is always hot water for those not so sunny days, an electric or gas booster is added to the system.
A. Solar Gas Boosters – Hot Water Even When The Sun Is Not Shining
• High flow rates
• Preset to 70 degrees Celsius
• No need for a solar transfer value
• Same technology as the famous Rinnai INFINITY
All of our gas boosted solar hot water systems utilise a dedicated continuous flow unit built around the same technology as the Rinnai Infinity, Australia’s number one continuous flow hot water system. It is always recommended that a solar hot water heater be installed with a booster unit for days when there is low solar gain. And because the gas booster is connected to the solar tank’s outlet line, it only operates when hot water is in use.

B. Prestige Range – The Rolls Royce of Solar Hot Water Systems
• Superior quality Stainless Steel tanks
• Option of highly efficient flat plate or evacuated tube collectors
• Electric boost or dedicated continuous flow gas boost configurations
• High STC’s awarded for each system
Our hot water units are highly regarded for their innovation and superior quality, and our range of Prestige Solar Hot Water Systems are no different. By replacing an electric storage water heater with a Rinnai Prestige Solar Water Heater, you can potentially reduce electricity consumption, running costs and environmental impact of your hot water system by 2/3rds.*
*Calculation is based on Close Coupled 330 litre stainless steel tank, 2 collectors, electric boosted solar hot water system with medium to large hot water load.
Our Prestige solar hot water units are designed with superior quality and flexibility in mind, utilising 444 grade stainless steel tanks. Offering three configurations of either a close coupled system, a flat plate system or an evacuated tube system you can be sure we have the right product to suit your needs.
Different Prestige Range Systems
1. Close Coupled Systems
• Stainless Steel tanks
• Excelsior collectors with TiNOX technology
• No moving parts
A solar close coupled system is where the storage tank and the solar collectors are coupled together and installed on the roof.
2. Flat Plate Systems
• Stainless Steel tanks
• Highly efficient Excelsior collectors with TiNOX technology
• Collectors and tank can be installed separately
Flat Plate Solar Hot Water Systems consist of a ground mounted storage tank that is installed separately to the collectors mounted on the roof. A small pump circulates the water from the cylinder through to the collectors to absorb the maximum available solar energy.
3. Evacuated Tube Systems
• Stainless Steel tanks
• Highly efficiency evacuated tube collectors suitable for temperature as low as 12 degrees Celsius
• Tubes and tank can be installed separately
Evacuated Tube Solar Hot Water Systems consist of a ground mounted storage tank that is installed separately to the tubes mounted on the roof. A small pump circulates the water from the cylinder through the header across the top of the tubes to absorb the maximum available solar energy.
C. Sunmaster Range
• High quality Vitreous Enamel steel tanks
• Option of highly efficient flat plate or evacuated tube collectors
• Electric boost or dedicated continuous flow gas boost configurations
• High STC’s awarded for each system
Solar hot water systems that are affordable and environmentally friendly
Our Sunmaster solar range is designed to maximise the free energy from the sun, whilst also providing quality units that are affordable. Environmentally friendly and cost effective, we’ve developed 3 types of solar hot water units, close coupled systems, flat plate systems and evacuated tube systems, which allow our solar water heaters to be integrated into almost any home.
Different Sunmaster Range
1. Close Coupled Systems
• Cost effective Vitreous Enamel tanks
• Highly efficient aluminium fin solar collectors
• No moving parts
The Sunmaster close coupled system’s storage tank and solar collector panels are linked together and installed on the roof. Using thermo-syphoning (i.e. hot water rises) to circulate water through the collectors and into the storage tank, meaning there are no moving parts and no need for a pump.
2. Flat Plate Systems
• Cost effective Vitreous Enamel tanks
• Highly efficient aluminium fin solar collectors
• Collectors and tank can be installed separately
Flat Plate Solar Hot Water Systems consist of a ground mounted storage tank that is installed separately to the collectors mounted on the roof. A solar control unit ensures water circulates between the tank and collectors.
3. Evacuated Tube Systems
• Cost effective Vitreous Enamel tanks
• Highly efficiency evacuated tube solar collectors suitable for temperature as low as 12 degrees Celsius
• Tubes and tank can be installed separately
Evacuated Tube Solar Hot Water Systems consist of a ground mounted storage tank that is installed separately to the tubes mounted on the roof. A solar control unit ensures water circulates between the tank and the header across the top of the tubes.
